DAY TWO: SAVOUR THE FLAVOURS

On the second day of The Outback Trail we find ourselves in charming Nindigully— affectionately dubbed "The Gully" by locals.

Our journey brings us to the most famous and respected institution in town... The Nindigully Pub!

With roots dating back to 1864, The Nindigully Pub is revered as one of Queensland's oldest and continually licensed pubs. Steeped in history and bursting with character, it's a cherished meeting point for both transient travelers and longtime locals.

Mosey on down for a relaxed afternoon of classic pub grub soundtracked by the country tunes of Travis Collins and Chloe Styler (also appearing at Saddle Up).

Plus, hang around after the gig for your chance to meet Travis Collins. He'll be sticking around to say g'day to fans from 5.15pm - 5.45pm.

This leisurely Sunday session is your golden opportunity to kick your boots up. Take a moment to savour the flavours and immerse yourself in the laid-back ambiance that defines Nindigully.

This event is strictly no BYO alcohol or food items.

Pets are prohibited within The Gully Sessions event, although Nindigully Pub welcomes furry friends at their campgrounds!

QMF respectfully acknowledges the Bigambul and Kamilaroi Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, waters and skies of Goondiwindi, where the Saddle Up for the Trail Ahead Trail event unfolds. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

Accessibility

Our team work hard to ensure access needs are taken into account from the moment we dream up an event to the moment you leave the site. The Nindigully Pub is a fully accessible venue for all patrons.

HOW TO GET THERE

In just under 2 hours heading west from Goondiwindi you can drive to Nindigully on sealed roads along the Barwon Highway. This road is safe for all vehicles from caravans and campervans to smaller cars.

Alternatively you can travel along Northern New South Wales on Mungindi-Goondiwindi Bridge Road. This road is sealed, but isn't in quite as good condition as the highway, so if you're not sure if your vehicle can handle it, it might be best to stick to the highway.

Due to recent weather events, there have road closures in the area. Please ensure you review the QLDTraffic website while you're on the road.

WHERE TO STAY

Caravans and campers are welcome to set up in front of the pub alongside the banks of the Moonie River. The council restrooms are available to all. While it is free of charge, it's not free of responsibility, so please ensure you leave your camping area and Nindigully clean, for those who come afterwards.

If camping isn’t your style, there are a range of guestrooms with shared bathroom facilities available at the pub.

Welcome to Nindigully

Just 45km south-east of St George, “The Gully” as it’s locally known, is pretty much four houses and a pub on a riverbank. But what a pub, what a view and what characters you’ll find!
